Is you care more about front cover art work and less about detailed verbal description, then this might be for you.

It got a lot of nice front cover art work along with a brief description below each picture, but I was really looking for a much more in-depth description of the story behind each issue. I will probably end up buying "Marvel Year by Year: A Visual History, Updated and Expanded." I browse through it in a bookstore, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

Purchased this for my husband and he LOVED it. It's heavy, hard cover, and comes in a nice box. Very nice presentation, and he refers to it frequently as if it's a text book during lengthy conversations about comics, as if I care. ;) 10/10 great gift for the Mr.

Great artwork with vivid colors

Great deal.....I saw it for $50 in a store and was going to get it but thought of trying Amazon. They had it for $34, brand new and in excellent condition. Just a great book to flip through. Awesome pics with vivid colors. This is a big heavy book, it seems to be well made and pretty sturdy plus it comes with a hardcover shell that it slides into. I think this would make a great gift for any comic fan. Hopefully they respect and appreciate the artwork and take care in handling this weighty tome.
