Great topic, poor editing
By Amazon Customer
The fact this is the only book on its topic means that the material is quite appreciated no matter what it takes to digest it, but I have found (at least in the 1st chapter reading via Kindle) many instances where the author writes one thing which contradicts the example shown, or makes reference to details that are ambiguous or not immediately obvious (probably obvious to the author, but more specificity would be nice). The book could have used a competent editor.

is not a great book, is not awful
By Jonathan Gamba
It works as a quick introduction to Polymer and web components, is not a great book, is not awful, it is just ok, I learned some concepts but most of the info you find in the book can be get it directly from the Polymer documentation site.

Better than the internet tutorial
By Luis Henrique Z. Correa
This book eas very useful to me, in the first chapter explains the html5 basics which is the core infrastructure for polymer. For more advanced users I believe the internet tutorial will be enough
