Great Work Books

I had originally used PowerScore "Bible" however I felt the methodology was neither practical nor helpful. I enjoy the style of writing and the many practice tests and drills in the Manhattan LSAT books. I particularly like the Logic Games book. If debating between companies go with Manhattan LSAT

Best LSAT material available!!

I just wanted to take a second to thank you for an outstanding product and service. My law school (and subsequently LSAT) journey began last year when I took a practice LSAT offered by Kaplan on campus. With no idea what to expect, having never seen a single question I made a 158 and thought to myself, "Oh, this won't be too bad." Boy was I in for a surprise. With only a couple weeks preparation and one lowly Princeton Review prep book I took the June LSAT earlier this year and performed modestly, with a 159 on the actual exam. Certainly lower than my practice scores had been in the days leading up to the exam, and also lower than my high hopes had been. Almost immediately I became determined to refocus, prepare properly, and attack the LSAT in October.
I can't remember how I happened across Manhattan LSAT, but the reviews seemed stellar. I purchased all three guide books, and about 30 new official LSAC practice tests. I've been working feverishly since the end of July. I'm happy to say that I consistently am hitting above 167 now, with my few mistakes being more attributed to impatience then lack of strategy and knowledge. Today, I took my final timed practice test before the exam on Saturday and just about nailed it!! I made a 172, my highest timed score yet!! It's without a doubt the extra preparation and time spent using your guide books that has made the difference. Heading into the first exam, logical games was the only section I had complete confidence in, and could routinely finish with a perfect score. I haven't managed to quite hit that mark on the reasoning or reading, but I'll take a minus 4 over a minus 11 I made on the first exam any day of the week!! I really hope I'm not jinxing myself before I actually take this next exam, but as excited as I was to finish so strongly this afternoon I couldn't help giving thanks where thanks was deserved.
Thank you so much for the prep materials. And thank you even more to all of the staff that spends countless hours responding to forums, they made an incalculable difference in fine tuning my thought process.

A New Perspective on the LSAT

The Powerscore series is a good base to start with to set your foundation. After you get comfortable with that series, this series is perfect to tighten up your loose ends with some great tips, especially if you are aiming high. You could also finish up with Blueprint because that series is basically all practice.
Logic Games: This series has the best setup for sequencing games I've seen, but ignore the elaborate crap with the conditional-heavy games where they have you making those huge connection diagrams, especially since newer LSATs seem to have more plug-and-chug questions. I like their method for distribution games where you make sort of a checklist diagram. It's good for inferences.
Logical Reasoning: Where the Powerscore series covers each type equally, they're series is very focused on assumption family questions (strengthen, weaken, assumption, flaw, principle support, etc.) They really nail down the process of deconstructing arguments and finding the gaps/assumptions. If these types of questions are your main issue then this series is for you!
Reading Comprehension: I'm pretty neutral as far as this series' reading comprehension section. All the series seem to have the same bland approach to this section.
I find, when it comes to LSAT study, the difference between all of the series is that they essentially build their own philosophy and approach on top of universal foundational techniques. You as the taker just have to find what works for you. You may love the conditional tree that I thought was overly complicated. The price is very reasonable. I recommend trying it. Also, you get access to their free goodies online which include free classes!
